                                            Construction of spine

To supplement the previous article about  vertebral column  I ought to  write about  what vertebral column comprises and what is it made of.
I am not afraid of condemnation from those people who, presumably, find here dozens of mistakes, and moreover I will say thanks a lot for those who is going to correct me.
First of all and what is really important, vertebral column is a living organism, it is not just a common part of our body.
33 vertebrae of our spine are united, most of them have intervertebral discs.  I should  say that vertebrae are made of bone, each has a special shape. Without scientific and intricate  definitions I am about to separate whole column onto five sectors from the top – neck to the bottom- coccyx ( or how  usually people say tailbone)
First sector is called cervical then goes thoracic then lumbar and sacrum and the last is coccyx. I attached a picture to provide a visual example.

Let’s take a spot onto intervertebral discs. The most important task of the discs is prevent discs to connect to each other, and also to work as shock absorbs. Next to discs there is a lot of nerves that can be pinched and in this case the brain will send a wrong command to appropriate limbs or even system, it might be for instance digestion system  To elucidate I attached a picture of a pair of vertebrae and a disc.

Discs are made of very soft tissues they are vulnerable and fragile they tend to be compressed but what is really bad that they can be compressed in a wrong way. I am setting about to describe the constructions of interbertebral  discs. Also very briefly: Nucleus pulposus and Annulus fibrosis. It consist of 90 % of water, therefore it is important to drink enough water to support health of spine.

When one side of a disc has more load then another it brings great problems. Because a protruded disc can pinch a nerve. I personally confronted with a problem when a disc is compressed and not symmetrically. The disc is protruded and pinches a nerve, or might be a couple of nerves.

In most cases as it is  described in appropriate literature , this kind of illnesses must be with  pain . But in my case there is no pain. And that is bad. There is a language of pain. When your body is ill it gives to you a clue such as pain so you know that you have troubles. In my case I have an opposite picture. But I found what the problem is.
I want to appeal to those who read this article, please be more attentive to your spine, do exercises and do not sit a lot, try to move more. Movement is life, earlier I only heard about that but now this is my motto.
In the next article I am about to describe some exercises that you can do in order to support health of your spine.
